Author:Flavored Peanut Butter Co.
Ingredients
-
1 Cup + 2 Tbsp | Churro Flavored Peanut Butter Powder (for filling and topping)
¼ oz | Yeast Packet
½ Cup | Milk (any kind works)
½ Cup | Warm Water
¼ Cup | Sugar
⅓ Cup + ¼ Cup | Unsalted Butter
1 Tsp | Salt
1 | Large Egg
3 ½ Cups | All purpose Flour
1 Cup | Cream Cheese Frosting (or your favorite homemade recipe!)
Directions
Prep
Step 1: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg.
Step 3: Add in 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth. Add yeast mixture and then mix in remaining 1.5 cups of flour until dough is easy to work with.
Step 4: Knead dough on lightly floured surface for around 5 minutes, then place in a large greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
Step 5: Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface. Ideally you want to shape the dough in to a 15 by 9-inch rectangle.
Step 6: Brush melted butter over the rolled out dough. Mix Churro flavored PB with water until smooth and spread in an even layer over the buttered dough.
Step 7: Roll the cinnamon dough up into a tight log and seal the ends with a little melted butter. Then cut into 2 inch slices. (TIP: Use unflavored floss to cut the dough)
Step 8: Place your cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet and pop them in the freezer until they are frozen solid (a couple of hours). Then, place cinnamon rolls in freezer bags, seal them up, and store them flat in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Cook
Step 1: When you are ready to enjoy some homemade cinnamon rolls, simply place the desired amount in a buttered pan (leaving about 2-inches all around for them to expand), and let the frozen cinnamon rolls come to room temperature and double in size.
Step 2: Then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until nice and brown.
Step 3: Spread with icing and drizzle more Churro flavored pb mixed with water for a delicious topping.
